Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist meeting the needs of K–8 students for a maternity leave coverage at two conveniently located schools near Michigan City, IN. This assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026, supporting students at both the Liberty Elementary School and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School—just steps apart for easy access.
As an SLP in this dynamic school setting, you’ll collaborate with an experienced team and enjoy the autonomy to set your own daily seven-hour schedule. With an approximate caseload of 90 students across both sites, you’ll provide essential speech and language services that make a real difference in students’ educational journeys.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active, or eligible for, relevant state licensure
- Prefer prior experience in school-based SLP settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a diverse K–8 caseload
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain detailed, compliant documentation
- Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to deliver student-centered interventions
- Flexibly split daily hours between two school sites, according to student schedules and service needs
