\nPURPOSE
\nPerforms radiographic exams to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, which include positioning patient, adjusting equipment settings to obtain the best density, detail and contrast of the area being imaged and determining proper voltage and exposure. \n
- QC images once taken. \n
- Provides appropriate patient protection following prescribed safety standards. \n
- Assists operative team in preparing patient for procedure to be performed. \n
- Participates in surgical time out, entering patient information into C-Arm. \n
- Maintains facility exposure badges and reporting. \n
- Notifies supervisor of equipment repair needs. \n
- Maintains compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements. \n
- Ensures all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. \n
- Maintains integrity of lead aprons by performing annual checks. \n
- Acts as Radiation Safety Officer. \n
- Maintains work area. \n
- Stocks room supplies. \n
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. \n
- Attends required meetings and in-services. \n
- Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct. \n
- Regular and dependable attendance. \n
- Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on ARC SharePoint. \n
- Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy. \n
- Performs other duties as assigned. \n
QUALIFICATIONS
\nEducation and Experience
\nRequired:
\n- \n
- High school diploma or GED. \n
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school. \n
- Two (2) or more years of radiology experience with at least one (1) or more years of operating room or ASC radiology experience. \n
- Experience working with all age groups. \n
- Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage. \n
- Experience in digital radiography. \n
Preferred: Five (5) or more years of related work experience.
\nCertificate/License
\n- \n
- Current licensure as a Registered Technologist through the Texas Medical Board. \n
- Radiological Technologist must be in good standing with American Registry of Radiological Technologist. \n
- Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required. \n
