Job Description
Make an impact in education by providing speech-language services for the 2026-2027 school year in the Oroville and Paradise area. This rewarding contract role focuses on servicing 1-2 classrooms, supporting students’ communication growth in a collaborative, school-based setting. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for California
- Previous school-based SLP experience
- Familiarity with supervising SLPAs or interest in developing these skills
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable providing both in-person and virtual services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement effective IEP-driven therapy plans
- Deliver direct services to students in alignment with educational goals
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, colleagues, and families
- Provide SLPA supervision and mentorship as needed
- Support students and staff in 1-2 designated classrooms
- Adapt to changing modalities (in-person or virtual) based on district needs
