ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract position in Wyandotte, Michigan. This in-person opportunity offers the chance to work with students in their home school environments while collaborating with a highly supportive team of experienced SLPs. The selected clinician will split time between two nearby school buildings and become part of a Professional Learning Team (PLT) that meets monthly to share resources, strategies, and best practices. The district is interviewing immediately, with interview availability as soon as Friday, July 31, and Monday, August 3.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students receiving the majority of their instruction in general education settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student communication goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Travel between two assigned school buildings within the district.
  • Work closely with the district's Speech-Language Pathology Professional Learning Team (PLT) to share resources and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
  • School certification or credential required, if applicable.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.

Experience:

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
  • Experience working with students in general education settings is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, evaluations, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred.

Work Hours:
7:45 AM – 3:15 PM, full-time
