Travel Pediatric Hospital Pharmacist | Lubbock, Texas

A rewarding opportunity is available for a pharmacist to provide expert care in a pediatric hospital setting. This travel assignment is based in Lubbock, TX, focusing on night shift hours and pediatric inpatient pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications accurately in a children’s hospital.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems efficiently for medication order processing and inventory management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy for pediatric patients.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety protocols during night shifts.
• Provide consultation on medication use and dosing specific to pediatric needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas pharmacist license required.
• Inpatient pharmacy experience, ideally including pediatrics.
• Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Ability to work a consistent night shift schedule (2000 - 0630).
• Pediatric pharmacy knowledge to support specialized patient care.

Location:

• Lubbock, TX

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off.
• Night shift with potential for later transition to day shift coverage for a pharmacist on FMLA through January 13, 2027.
