School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida
Job Description
Step into an impactful school-based role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Jacksonville, FL area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ communication skills while collaborating as part of an educational team from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Key Requirements:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLPA, including at least 6 months working in a school setting
- Must complete required fingerprinting for credentialing; if previously printed for a Florida school district and available through the AHCA Clearinghouse, a verification process will apply
- Comfortable working on-site (this position does not support virtual/remote work)
- Ability to independently manage a traditional caseload, likely based at one school location
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students, helping them achieve their IEP goals
- Work closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and other staff to coordinate individualized therapies
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and district policies
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Support and motivate students from various age groups throughout the school year
