Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language services for K-4th grade students during the 26/27 school year in a supportive educational setting near Logansport, IN. This contract role offers a dedicated speech room and collaboration with both an on-site SLPA and a team of six other SLPs across the district. Work with a manageable caseload of 68 students, including 27 that are case management only, focusing on students with mild to moderate needs. Enjoy a structured bell schedule from 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Indiana SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong understanding of mild to moderate speech/language disabilities
- Comfortable managing a caseload and completing teacher record/case management duties
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy for K-4th students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough records and provide case management for 27 students
- Consult with educators and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Utilize a dedicated speech area; collaborate with the building SLPA and district SLP team
- Communicate with families and staff to support student progress
