Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Greenwood, IN
Job Description
Make a difference for elementary students by providing vital speech and language services in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting a primary elementary site, while occasionally assisting at a nearby location as needed. You'll collaborate with educators and families to deliver impactful therapy to a diverse caseload of 51 students, all within a welcoming and resource-rich environment. Standard hours are 8:10 AM to 4:10 PM, offering a consistent 37.5-hour workweek.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Holds or eligible for state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience working in schools or with elementary-aged children preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Collaboration skills for working closely with other special education and general education professionals
- Flexibility to assist at a secondary site when needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech and language therapy aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
- Develop and update IEPs, organize and participate in meetings as required
- Track and document progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Offer support, consultation, and education for teachers and families regarding student needs and strategies
