Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks or longer, shorter contracts considered

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Closed weekends (primary location), with occasional weekend shifts at a secondary retail location

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active New Mexico Pharmacist License or the ability to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum one year retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to cover shifts at the secondary retail location, including occasional weekends
  • Strong patient counseling and medication dispensing skills
  • Comfortable supervising pharmacy technicians and managing daily pharmacy operations
  • Flexible with adapting to multiple retail locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders in compliance with protocol
  • Maintain up-to-date patient medication profiles and ensure quality control
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee pharmacy workflow
  • Participate in medical emergency response alongside pharmacy team members
  • Conduct medication storage inspections, removing expired products
  • Train new staff members and uphold infection control guidelines
