Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students in elementary and secondary settings as a dedicated school psychologist. In this full-time position, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week within an engaging scholastic environment, helping to shape the growth and wellbeing of students across various grade levels.
Ideal candidates hold both New Mexico state and Teacher certifications (NMPED) and are comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 40-50 students. Whether you bring experience as a Clinical Fellow (CF) or hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), your expertise will be valued and utilized to its fullest. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of student needs, contributing positively to academic and emotional outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current New Mexico state license for school psychologists and NMPED Teacher certification
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) throughout the contract
- Open to both Clinical Fellows (CF) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders
- Experience at the elementary and secondary school levels preferred
- Skill in managing a caseload of 40-50 students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Deep commitment to supporting student development through comprehensive assessment, counseling, and intervention
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for referred students
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Provide counseling services individually and in groups, as appropriate
- Monitor and report on student progress toward their goals
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insight for IEP/504 planning
