Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Behavior Specialist in a vibrant, urban educational environment. This full-time, onsite position runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, and offers a unique chance to create lasting impact district-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor new staff on instructional approaches for students with Autism, and provide district-wide behavior plan trainings
  • Deliver refresher courses to returning educators, ensuring current, consistent best practices
  • Collaborate with teams to establish Verbal Repertoires for students and model evidence-based strategies directly in classrooms
  • Offer ongoing support throughout the pivotal back-to-school period, remaining present and approachable to staff, students, and administrators
  • Partner with PaTTAN consultants and district teams to uphold Tiered Implementation Inventory standards
  • Facilitate the review and application of IEPs, BIPs, and essential documentation across the district
  • Conduct coaching sessions within classrooms, transferring key skills to promote effective autism support practices
  • Monitor and reinforce the fidelity of individualized student programs, providing constructive feedback
  • Participate in all required onsite consultations, or coordinate a qualified substitute if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or related field required
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Previous experience in autism support or special education settings, especially in urban schools
  • Comfortable navigating urban educational environments, with strong collaborative and leadership skills
  • Able to complete all PA clearances
  • Reliable transportation; adherence to onsite schedule, 7:15AM-4PM
  • Prior school-based experience essential
