An exciting contract opportunity is available for dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) with schools in the New Orleans area. This full-time position follows the academic calendar, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours per week; 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Start the 2026-2027 school year supporting students in a vibrant educational environment and make a meaningful difference.
Key Qualifications:
- Active national RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Registered as a line technician with the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board by a supervising Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 40-hour RBT training course
- Successful completion of the RBT Initial Competency Assessment and official RBT certification exam
- Passing a criminal background check and abuse registry check
- Ability to meet district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst
- Collect data and document student progress in accordance with district and supervising analyst guidelines
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with behavioral and developmental needs (age group and specific caseload to be determined)
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Attend regular team meetings, participate in ongoing training, and communicate progress to appropriate staff
