Job Description
Make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting occupational therapy services across a vibrant K-12 district. We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract position spanning two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Work side-by-side with an on-site District Occupational Therapist, who will provide supportive supervision as you help students reach their full potential.
This full-time opportunity runs from late August 2026 through the end of May 2027, and involves 35 hours a week during the academic year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania COTA license (required)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT (preferred)
- Skilled at working with diverse student populations from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Strong communication abilities and collaborative mindset
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple campus buildings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Collaborate with educational and therapy teams to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies
- Travel between district buildings as needed to serve students effectively
- Contribute to building a supportive, inclusive learning environment
