Job Description
Step into a vibrant middle school setting as a 7th & 8th Grade Technology Teacher, where you’ll engage students in the ever-evolving world of technology. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027, allowing you to make a difference in young learners’ lives while developing your professional skills in a supportive work environment.
As the on-site specialist, your focus will be on guiding middle school students through essential technology concepts and applications, helping to prepare them for success in a digital world.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field
- Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate technology endorsement(s)
- Passion for curriculum design and classroom instruction
- Ability to bring creativity and structure to lesson planning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive and safe learning space
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging technology curriculum for 7th and 8th grade students
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess and document student growth and achievement
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities
- Collaborate with colleagues and support school-wide initiatives
- Maintain open communication with students, families, and administration
- Uphold the school’s culture and behavioral expectations
The position is based fully onsite, providing daily opportunities to interact with students and colleagues face-to-face in a dynamic educational environment. This is not a virtual or remote position.
