Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
  • Valid and current SLPA license for the state of California
  • Clinical experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple student caseloads and maintain accurate records

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to students with diverse communication needs
  • Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by implementing tailored interventions developed by supervising SLP
  • Assist in documenting student progress, maintaining compliance with state guidelines and district protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and family members to promote communication strategies in various learning environments
  • Prepare materials and activities that support student goals
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development as required by the assignment
