As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you'll be an integral part of a collaborative educational team, supporting students’ communication goals and enhancing their academic experiences.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience working within school environments or with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with supervising SLPs, educators, and parents
- Organizational skills and reliability in documenting student progress and session notes
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and following ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and support classroom integration
- Prepare materials and adapt activities to suit student needs
- Document progress, maintain records, and provide feedback to the supervising SLP
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
