Step into a pivotal role providing support to students during the 2026–2027 school year as a contract School Psychologist. In this vital position, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to deliver comprehensive psychological services that extend beyond traditional testing—making a real impact on student development and mental well-being.
Your expertise will be applied across 1–2 school buildings within a well-supported district, working alongside a dedicated team of psychologists. Each professional has the opportunity to contribute to a broader range of services and interventions, engaging directly with both elementary and secondary student populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification required (open to travelers willing to obtain MI licensure prior to the start date)
- Relevant experience in a school setting is preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to evaluate emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families to promote mental health and positive school climate
- Participate actively in problem-solving and student support teams
- Assist in data-driven decision-making for building and district-wide initiatives
