Qualifications:
- Active RN license required (School Nurse Credentialed or CSN certification preferred, but not required)
- Experience or strong interest in school nursing or pediatric care
- Ability to collaborate with educators, counselors, families, and external healthcare providers
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities and follow school health protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care, health assessments, and emergency interventions at two school locations, alternating days as scheduled
- Monitor student health plans, administer medications, and provide care in compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Educate students and staff on preventive health, hygiene, and wellness practices
- Respond promptly to health emergencies, providing first aid and arranging additional medical support when needed
- Maintain accurate health records and support compliance with local and state regulations
- Serve as a resource for disease prevention, outbreak management, and the implementation of health-related protocols
