Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital support to students and school communities as a School Psychologist across multiple PK-12 campuses in the greater Gonzales, LA area. This part-time position (29 hours per week) spans the academic year, beginning with essential professional development days on July 27 and continuing through late May. Enjoy the flexibility of a primarily on-site role, with hybrid options available, and engage with diverse school communities ranging from elementary to high school.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in School Psychology is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of psychoeducational evaluations, IDEA compliance, and special education eligibility.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting assessment data and producing thorough, timely evaluation reports.
  • Ability to communicate assessment outcomes clearly to parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to ensure consistent adherence to evaluation timelines.
  • Successful history working collaboratively with educational diagnosticians, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and administrators.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly valued.
  • Must complete district background check and fingerprinting prior to start.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify the academic and behavioral needs of K-12 students, and provide detailed written reports.
  • Offer direct support and educational interventions to students and families.
  • Consult with educators and parents to develop and implement effective instructional and behavioral strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case records and reports for ongoing services and accountability.
  • Participate in school-based professional development and team meetings.
  • Clearly interpret assessment processes and results for both families and faculty.
