Drywall Mechanic

Job description:

Gillmann Services is NOW HIRING carpenters with extensive metal stud framing and drywall experience for a commercial project near Spartanburg, SC. Project duration one year or more.

Start ASAP. Pay $25/hr and $100 a day per diem or $30/hr flat (PER DAY WORKED), working 10-hour shifts. Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Accurately measure and cut metal framing for installation
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation of studs
\n
• Perform all steps of drywall hanging as a team
\n
• Hang walls, top-outs, ceilings, insulated metal panels
\n
• Inspect framing surfaces, materials for imperfections, mark for repair
\n
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
\n
• Use all required hand and power tools
\n
• Other duties as required
\n

Requirements:

\n
• 3+ years experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation
\n
• Knowledge of all required hand and power tools, have own hand tools for work required
\n
• Experience with all types of commercial drywall boards
\n
• Ability to make accurate measurements using tapes, squares, straightedges etc.
\n
• Ability to work without direct supervision and maintain productivity
\n
• Must consent to and pass a background check and drug test
\n
• Must adhere to onsite safety and PPE guidelines at all times
\n
• Must have reliable transportation and be available to work hours specified (10 hours/day, 13 days on 1 day off)
