Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, planning, and delivering classroom instruction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ideal for collaborating with colleagues and engaging students.
• Up-to-date on best practices for early childhood instruction and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a dynamic K-2 music curriculum, tailoring activities to suit each grade level.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages creativity, participation, and musical exploration.
• Integrate varied musical genres and instruments to cultivate students’ appreciation and understanding of music.
• Assess student progress and share feedback with families or other educators as needed.
• Participate in school events and collaborate with fellow teachers to support the broader educational mission.
