Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ health and well-being within a K-12 school setting. This assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027, consisting of 37.5 weekly onsite hours. You’ll provide essential nursing care to students, including a bus-riding student with complex health needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered Georgia LPN license
  • Proven experience in pediatric or school nursing environments
  • Confidence in caring for children with mobility challenges, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to step confidently into a fast-paced environment when support is needed most
  • Reliable in onsite settings, with a professional, student-focused attitude

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to students, especially one requiring wheelchair support, trach management, and gastrostomy tube care
  • Accompany and supervise designated students during bus rides to ensure safety
  • Monitor, update, and communicate care plans with the broader student services team
  • Document care consistently and maintain confidentiality in all student health matters
  • Serve as a key resource for educators and families, offering guidance on health management in school
  • Fill in for an absent nurse, adapting to evolving needs and working under the direction of the lead nurse
