Make a meaningful difference in early childhood education by supporting young learners as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This role offers an exciting contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, working either two or three days a week in an early childhood educational setting.

Set in a vibrant North Chicago suburb, you’ll collaborate within the Winnetka Preschool Consortium, providing essential services to preschool-aged students. You’ll join an inclusive educational environment where your expertise will help children develop key skills for academic and personal success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience supporting early childhood and/or special education preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel between consortium locations as needed
  • Passion for fostering developmental growth and functional independence in young children
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Dedication to best practices in a school-based therapy environment

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with diverse needs
  • Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to student goals
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions within classroom and therapy settings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support staff
  • Monitor, document, and report progress to relevant team members
  • Support the participation and inclusion of children with varying abilities in classroom activities
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary planning meetings and IEP processes
