Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure (CO or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
• Genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-focused learning environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Track and evaluate student progress, maintaining current and accurate documentation
• Partner with general educators to ensure student success across all subjects and settings
• Communicate regularly with parents, providing clear updates on achievements and goals
• Support positive behavioral interventions and provide social-emotional support as needed
• Contribute to team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
