School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Canton, GA

As a dedicated 1:1 nurse, you’ll work closely with a student at the elementary level who requires ongoing respiratory care. If you have a keen eye for detail and a warm, nurturing approach, your expertise will contribute greatly to the safety and well-being of a child who relies on professional medical support throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

• Current, active LPN license
• Previous LPN/LVN experience in pediatric or school settings preferred
• Demonstrated ability to deliver thorough assessments and perform respiratory interventions such as chest physiotherapy
• Competency with monitoring oxygen saturation and accurate documentation
• Confidence in performing suctioning and managing airway clearance for children with complex needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, continuous 1:1 nursing support to a student during school hours
• Administer assessment and chest physiotherapy as outlined in care plans
• Monitor and maintain student’s oxygen saturation levels above 92%
• Safely perform suctioning to clear respiratory secretions and respond promptly to evolving needs
• Maintain excellent medical documentation and collaborate with other school professionals and the student’s care team
• Communicate updates to school staff and guardians as required
