Job Description
A well-established and expanding energy solutions provider is seeking a commercially astute Sales Managerto drive growth across its CHP and integrated on-site generation portfolio throughout Scotland on a full time permanent basis.
\nThis is a high-impact, senior sales role focused on delivering technically robust, financially compelling energy solutions to industrial and commercial customers across the UK.
\nKey purpose:
\nYou will be responsible for selling a broad portfolio of CHP and integrated energy systems, supporting clients in reducing energy costs, improving resilience, and meeting decarbonisation objectives.
\nProjects typically involve complex technical and commercial structures, requiring a consultative approach and strong stakeholder engagement. You will manage the full sales lifecycle from opportunity generation and feasibility through to tender submission, commercial negotiation, and contract award.
\nThis role offers genuine autonomy, strong internal technical support, and the opportunity to work on strategically significant energy infrastructure projects.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nDevelop and execute a strategic sales plan for distributed energy solutions across target sectors.
\nGenerate and qualify new opportunities through direct business development and partner engagement.
\nLead technical and economic appraisals in collaboration with engineering teams.
\nPrepare and present compelling commercial proposals and tender submissions.
\nNegotiate contracts while maintaining margin discipline and commercial integrity.
\nBuild and manage relationships with consultants, end users, contractors, and channel partners.
\nMaintain a healthy pipeline aligned to growth targets.
\nRepresent the business at industry events and within sector networks.
\nCollaborate with UK colleagues and international stakeholders on larger projects and strategy.
\nEssential requirements:
\nProven experience selling CHP, distributed energy, or complex technical capital equipment solutions.
\nStrong understanding of commercial energy markets and drivers, including Net Zero and decarbonisation policy, Energy price volatility, Grid capacity constraints, funding and incentive mechanisms
\nDemonstrable experience managing full-cycle, high-value B2B sales processes.
\nAbility to engage credibly with technical and financial decision-makers.
\nStrong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
\nSelf-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable operating with autonomy.
