About the RoleWe are seeking to appoint qualified School Bank Nurses to join our team at Claires Court School. As a bank School Nurse, you will be able to promote and provide a clinically effective, high-quality nursing service to pupils and first aid care to all members of the school community.

This is an ideal role for a knowledgeable, friendly and independent individual who is able to work well under pressure with a confident and calm nature. This role will be utilised when the school requires cover for our full-time nurses. In addition, there will be regular hours each month to ensure you are familiar with the school context and team.

Key Responsibilities• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in line with the NMC Code. • Provide first aid and emergency care to pupils, staff, and visitors, including pitch-side support where required. • Assess and triage pupils, prioritising care effectively. • Support pupils with acute and chronic health needs. • Offer confidential health advice and signpost to appropriate services. • Liaise with staff, parents, and external healthcare professionals. • Maintain accurate medical records in line with GDPR. • Ensure safe handling, storage, and administration of medicines. • Maintain Health Centre supplies and emergency equipment. • Follow infection control procedures and promote health education.

Person Specification• Qualified nurse with current NMC registration. • Strong clinical skills, ideally with school or community experience. • Organised, calm, and able to work under pressure. • Friendly, approachable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
