Core Responsibilities

In your role as a L2Teaching Assistant, you will support both the class teacher and pupils across key daily activities:

• Targeted Classroom Support: Assist individual pupils and small groups during structured literacy, numeracy, and foundation lessons.

• SEN & Inclusion: Implement tailored strategies for children requiring additional support, ensuring equal access to activities in Birkenhead.

• Classroom Management: Work alongside the teacher to maintain a safe, well-organized, and encouraging environment.

• Pupil Wellbeing: Encourage positive behaviour, social integration, and emotional confidence across settings in Birkenhead.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as a primary or SEN Teaching Assistant (or relevant background in childcare/care settings).
\n
• A minimum recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
\n
• A calm, empathetic approach with strong communication skills and emotional resilience.
\n
• A proactive mindset toward expanding your qualifications through continuous education and training.
\n
• An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one through Academics).
