\n Job Description\n

To carry out the duties of a Carpet fitter/ floor layer and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.

\n

Responsibilities\n

To undertake craft duties as directed by the Contracts/Repairs/Voids Supervisor.

\n

To participate in alternative shift pattern rotas.

\n

To undertake training as required.

\n

To comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines.

\n

To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.

\n

The Individual\n

Time Served Carpet Fitter/Floor Layer or able to demonstrate required competencies/ experience.

\n

Minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Carpet Fitting/Floor Laying (or demonstrate equal).

\n

Capable of working on own or as a team member

\n

Full driving licence.

\n

Good all round knowledge of a variety of floor coverings, and general construction works.

\n

Good communication skills.

\n

Ability to be diplomatic with clients/staff. Be polite and of tidy appearance.

\n

Ability to show high level of customer care.

\n

Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working.

\n

Able to undertake all the duties of the post and good physical fitness appropriate to undertaking tasks.

\n

Ability to work on site within a construction environment.

\n

Willingness to work flexibly and when required, outside office hours.

\n

Starting Salary : £30,129.84

\n

37hrs per week

\n

£15.66 per hour
