To be part of the Adult Social Work team working with individuals, families, carers and/or communities to support them to achieve their outcomes. Working under the oversight of a registered social worker, tasks will include participation in: assessments, care planning, monitoring and reviewing in the context of joint and multi-agency working as appropriate to the needs of service users and carers, consistent with National Health and Social Care Standards

The post holder would have no line management or budgetary responsibility.

The Individual\n

- Experience /Training in Local Government. Knowledge and/or understanding of

\n

Community Care.

\n

- Educated to SVQ3, HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline with Higher grade or

\n

equivalent in English Knowledge and experience of Microsoft office packages,

\n

including Excel and Access

\n

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

\n

- To be able to work under pressure & prioritise own workload.

\n

- Be able to exercise own initiative and make decisions.

\n

- You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work

\n

locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the

\n

rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

\n

- Ability to deal with people in a calm, empathetic and confident manner. Ability to work

\n

in a team.

\n

- Ability to work in an open plan office

\n

- Ability to work in different offices dependent on service requirements

\n

- Ability to work flexibly to meet demands of service

\n

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

\n

Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

\n

Salary: £29,519.10

\n

Hourly Rate: £15.66

\n

Hours Per Week: 36.25 hours
