Heat Treatment Operator

An opportunity has arisen for a Heat Treatment Operative to join an established Engineering & Manufacturing company , supporting the processing of specialist components and materials within the Engineered Products team.Role OverviewThe position involves supporting heat treatment activities alongside general material preparation tasks, including cutting and handling of alloys and components. The role requires a consistent approach to safety, quality, and adherence to process standards.Key DutiesCarry out heat treatment processes in line with technical instructionsOperate overhead cranes and forklift trucks for material handlingUndertake hardness testing (Brinell)Support sawing operations, including cutting materials and sample preparationAssist with furnace operation and basic programmingMaintain accurate system updates on the internal computerSupport departmental dispatch requirementsComplete routine compliance and safety checksFollow site health and safety procedures at all timesAdditional ResponsibilitiesContribute to improvement and housekeeping activities (5S)Support problem-solving and process improvementsParticipate in team-based activities as requiredCandidate ProfileExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentPrevious use of cranes and FLTs preferredPractical, reliable approach with attention to detailUnderstanding of safety and quality requirementsAble to work independently and within a teamTHE POSITION ALSO INCLUDES A BONUS OF AROUND £3,700+ ON TOP OF THE SALARY OTE £40,000+TPBN1_UKTJ
