Quantity Surveyor Groundworks

Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join a Gateshead based groundworks contractor. As a result of significant growth they are now recruiting an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join an already established team to manage multiple groundwork packages across sites in the region. The Role You will be responsible for managing 2–3 projects at any one time, typically valued between £2m–£9m, working on a remeasure basis for main contractors. Key Responsibilities * Preparation and submission of monthly valuations * Cost reporting and monthly CVR reporting * Managing variations and final accounts * Commercial management of labour, plant and materials * Liaising with site teams and main contractors * Attending monthly commercial meetings Requirements * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within groundworks or civil engineering * Strong understanding of remeasure contracts and valuations * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously * Commercially astute and able to manage packages independently * Full UK driving licence Package * Salary circa £65,000 * Company car provided * Long-term opportunity within a growing regional contractor * Exposure to £2m–£9m civils and groundworks packages This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client
