\nAbout the Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced logistics professional to join a growing customer-focused operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced supply chain environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service standards.
\nWorking with a portfolio of strategic customers, you will oversee shipment activity from initial booking through to final delivery, ensuring operational excellence, data accuracy, and proactive communication throughout the process.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Act as the primary operational contact for a portfolio of high-value customers. \n
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and solution-focused service. \n
- Coordinate international freight movements and manage shipments throughout the supply chain lifecycle. \n
- Arrange transport services with external carriers, hauliers, and logistics partners. \n
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address service issues before they impact delivery performance. \n
- Ensure customer service targets, service level agreements, and internal performance measures are consistently achieved. \n
- Manage operational milestones, ensuring critical documentation and regulatory submissions are completed within required deadlines. \n
- Produce and issue shipping documentation and customer billing accurately and within agreed timescales. \n
- Liaise with overseas partners and service providers to coordinate inbound and outbound movements. \n
- Support customs-related activities and ensure compliance with relevant import and export procedures. \n
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate any delays or exceptions to stakeholders promptly. \n
- Maintain accurate operational records and tracking information within company systems. \n
- Monitor shipment data to support customer reporting and performance analysis. \n
- Follow established operational procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvement. \n
- Escalate risks, service concerns, and commercial opportunities to management where appropriate. \n
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery across multiple transport modes. \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. \n
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. \n
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy. \n
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. \n
- A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to learn new processes and transport modes. \n
