You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of equipment, ensuring the smooth running of production processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility. If you're a skilled engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding role, this is your opportunity.This is what you'll be doing.Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtimeDiagnose and rectify complex electrical faults across manufacturing and process equipment, including AC and DC drives, motors, control panels and associated systemsFault find on PLC-controlled machinery, with a particular focus on Siemens platforms, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectivelyModify, troubleshoot and improve PLC programmes to support production performance, reliability and continuous improvement initiativesLead and support electrical engineering projects, from design and installation through to commissioning and handoverIdentify opportunities to improve machine performance, equipment reliability and operational efficiency through control system enhancementsSupport the installation, testing and commissioning of new machinery, automation systems and plant upgradesWork closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions and minimise operational disruptionEnsure all engineering activities are completed in line with health, safety and environmental standardsMaintain accurate maintenance records and provide technical documentation relating to modifications, upgrades and project workThe experience you'll bring to the team.Electrically trained with a minimum HND qualification in an Electrical Engineering disciplineProven experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance environmentA high level of expertise in fault finding, diagnostics and repair of both AC and DC drive systemsStrong PLC knowledge, particularly with Siemens systems, including fault finding, programme interrogation and modificationsDemonstrable project engineering experience, with the ability to deliver electrical improvement projects from concept through to completionProficient in carrying out PLC modifications and implementing control system improvementsExcellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving equipment reliability and performanceAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering teamAnd this is what you'll get in return.A salary of circa £50,000Opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment.Are you up to the challenge?Are you what we're looking for?
