\nThe firm is flexible on the level of appointment and would consider an established Personal Tax Manager, an experienced Assistant Manager ready for progression, or a more senior individual capable of taking on wider responsibility.
\nThis could be particularly attractive to someone currently commuting into Sheffield, Leeds or another surrounding city who would welcome a high-quality opportunity closer to home.

- Review personal tax returns and supporting computations prepared by junior members of the team. \n
- Prepare and review more complex personal tax returns where required. \n
- Advise clients on a range of personal tax matters and identify opportunities to provide additional support. \n
- Work on areas including capital gains tax, property income, investment income, inheritance tax, trusts and other private-client matters, depending on your experience. \n
- Ensure all returns and submissions are completed accurately and in accordance with HMRC deadlines. \n
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and developing strong, long-term relationships. \n
- Liaise with colleagues across accounts, corporate tax and other specialist teams to provide joined-up advice. \n
- Coach, support and review the work of junior colleagues. \n
- Contribute to internal projects, process improvements and the continued development of the tax team. \n
- Work closely with senior colleagues and support the future growth of the Doncaster office. \n
The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Strong knowledge of UK personal tax compliance and current HMRC requirements. \n
- Experience managing, or assisting with the management of, a personal tax portfolio. \n
- Experience preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and supporting computations. \n
- The confidence to communicate directly with clients and explain technical matters clearly. \n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. \n
- Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior colleagues. \n
- A professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT. \n
Applications may also be considered from candidates who are qualified by experience and can demonstrate strong, relevant personal tax expertise.
Benefits\nSalary of £45,000–£65,000, depending on experience.
\nFlexible and hybrid working.
\nPart time option also considered.
\nGenerous holiday package with option to buy and sell more.
\nFantastic pension scheme.
\nRange of other benefits.
Company culture\nThe firm combines the personal culture and direct client relationships of a local accountancy practice with the support and opportunities available through a growing national group.
\nThe Doncaster team provides a collaborative and supportive working environment where employees are trusted to take ownership of their work, build meaningful client relationships and develop their careers.
\nYou will work closely with experienced colleagues locally while also having access to broader tax, accounting and advisory specialists across the wider business. The firm is forward-thinking, flexible in its approach and committed to helping employees progress through greater responsibility, technical development and exposure to more complex work.
