Interim Financial Accountant

HW Finance are delighted to be supporting a large organisation with the recruitment of an Interim Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, close-knit finance team during a period of continued growth and development.

Joining the business to cover a period of maternity leave, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function over a 13-month fixed-term contract. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the office for board meetings, training sessions and key business events.

The position offers a salary of £65,000 - £75,000 DOE, plus bonus and a benefits package.

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who can take ownership of a broad technical accounting remit, including statutory reporting, external audit management, IFRS reporting, fixed asset accounting, tax compliance and insurance-related activities.

Duties involve:

• Leading and coordinating internal audit requests.
\n
• Managing the external audit process and acting as the key point of contact for auditors.
\n
• Supporting the wider business on contractual and governance matters from a statutory accounting perspective.
\n
• Acting as a key contact to ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting requirements.
\n
• Taking responsibility for annual statutory accounts preparation and associated compliance obligations.
\n
• Managing relationships with insurance providers and overseeing insurance-related activities.
\n
• Participating in central finance meetings and supporting the wider finance function with ad hoc projects.
\n
• Providing management support and cover across finance teams when required.
\n

This role will suit someone who can be available to start a new role between Mid-August to Early-September 2026.
