MANUFACTURING ENGINEER | PERMANENT | BRISTOL | £55,507.89 rising to £57,143.64 after 6 month probation period12 hour shifts on a rotating days/night pattern, average 38.25 hours per weekAs a manufacturing Engineer at Encirc Beverages, you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising high speed bottling lines, process equipment, and site utilities at our state-of-the-art beverage facility in Bristol.You'll focus ondelivering planned maintenance, improving reliability and OEE, and driving continuous improvement.Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality planned maintenance and proactive equipment care.Using performance data, you will optimise machine performance, improve MTBF, reduce MTTR, and implement long-term engineering solutions that prevent repeat failures and drive reliability.Youll work closely with both engineering and production teams to deliver asset care and maintenance, continually optimising equipment care routines and supporting proactive maintenance planning.A keypart of the role is ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, in full, and right-first-time, in line with Encirc Group standards.Key RequirementsEngineering maintenance experience in a Food & Beverage (F&B) FMCG or similar manufacturing environmentTime-served engineering apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, multi-skilled with a solid understanding of electrical systemsHNC in an engineering disciplineStrong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and process equipmentAbility to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manualsExperience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (desirable)Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Short Interval Control (SIC), 5 Why, RCA, or FMEA (desirable)At Encirc, we make, fill and move glass.Part of the Vidrala group, we are a market leader in glass container design, manufacturing, bottling and logistics solutions for the UK, Irish and European food and beverages industries.With over 2,000 employees, we operate from our three purpose-built sites: Derrylin, Co Fermanagh; Elton, Cheshire and Bristol.We produce around 3 billion glass bottles and other containers annually and can fill up to 500 million litres of bulk shipped beverages every year.
