Their expertise spans roads and sewers, foundations, drainage, reinforced concrete works, earthworks, retaining structures, plot works, and external infrastructure.With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and repeat business, they are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support a growing portfolio of residential groundworks projects.The RoleAs Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:Managing the commercial delivery of multiple residential groundworks schemesProducing CVRs, cost reports, forecasts, and commercial reportingPreparing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accountsProcuring and managing subcontractor packagesMonitoring project costs and maximising commercial performanceManaging contractual risk and resolving commercial issuesWorking closely with Directors and operational teams to ensure successful project deliveryMaintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and developersThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager will have:Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial ManagerStrong residential groundworks and civil engineering experiencePrevious experience working with leading North West house buildersExcellent commercial and contractual knowledgeStrong CVR, cost reporting, and forecasting experienceAbility to work independently and manage multiple live projectsFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on Offer£350 - £450 per dayFreelance engagement via Ltd Company or Self-Employed basisLong-term contract opportunityImmediate start availableOpportunity to work on a strong pipeline of residential developments across the North WestSupportive and experienced operational teamApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
