Working closely with Lead Lawyer David Chant , youll play a key role in handling complex health & safety, and serious motor matters often from the very outset of an incident through to resolution. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys both technical legal work and client interaction , and who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal solutions while building strong, trusted client relationships. Work alongside a highly respected Lead Lawyer on complex casesGain hands-on experience from day oneBuild expertise in a specialist and growing area of lawBe part of a supportive, team-oriented cultureOpportunity to develop client relationships through training and mentoring deliveryWhat Youll Be Doing In this varied and hands-on role, you will: Analyse prosecution evidence and assess its implications for clientsDraft witness statements and review client evidenceCollate, organise, and summarise case materials for senior lawyersLiaise with courts, coroners, regulators (HSE, CQC, Police) and external expertsPrepare and serve defence case statements, sentencing and mitigation bundlesDraft submissions and support case strategy developmentAttend interviews under caution, inquests, and trials alongside CounselConduct legal and regulatory research (including HSE guidelines)Review medical records, post-mortem reports, transcripts and CCTV evidenceCoordinate meetings, site visits, and expert appointmentsSupport clients sensitively in often challenging and high-pressure situationsWhat we're looking for: Were looking for someone who is: A qualified Solicitor with NQ 4 years PQE in ideally one or more of the following specialisms: Health & SafetyRegulatoryInquestsTraffic CommissionerSerious MotorHighly organised with the ability to manage competing prioritiesDetail-focused and confident working with case management systemsA strong communicator, able to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levelsCalm, resilient and professional under pressureA collaborative team player with a proactive, flexible approachSensitive and empathetic in dealing with clients facing difficult circumstancesConfident in your written work, research, and IT skills??
