SC Cleared Service Designer | Central GovernmentHybrid | Bristol, London or NewcastleUp to £550 per day (Inside IR35)6-Month ContractActive SC Clearance RequiredWe're supporting a major Central Government programme and are seeking an experienced Service Designer to help shape and improve critical public-facing services.Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you'll play a key role in designing end-to-end services that meet user needs, align with policy objectives, and adhere to GDS standards and best practices .Essential RequirementsActive SC Clearance (must be current and transferable)Strong experience working within Central GovernmentProven experience delivering services in line with GDS standardsExpertise in service design methodologies and user-centred designExperience mapping complex services across multiple channels and touchpointsStrong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skillsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and improve end-to-end public services using service design principlesCreate service blueprints, user journeys, ecosystem maps and process flowsIdentify pain points, opportunities and service improvements through research insightsCollaborate with User Researchers, Interaction Designers, Content Designers, Product Managers and DevelopersFacilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessionsEnsure services meet user needs, business objectives and accessibility requirementsSupport GDS assessments and contribute to service strategy and deliveryContract DetailsRate: Up to £550 per dayIR35: Inside IR35Duration: Initial 6 monthsLocation: Bristol, London or NewcastleWorking Pattern: Hybrid, with 1-2 days per week onsiteStart Date: ASAPThis is a fantastic opportunity for an SC Cleared Service Designer to work on high-profile government transformation programmes, delivering meaningful services that impact millions of users across the UK.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
