Job Description
Role: HR People Specialist. Full Time, Regular, In Person.Location: Assigned every 3-5 years at an RAF Unit in the UK (preferences taken into consideration)*Your role as a HR People Specialist in the RAF will be diverse, exciting, and highly rewarding. Wherever the RAF is operational, there is a team of People Specialists ready to provide a professional service to personnel of all specialisations. In the People Specialisation you will be undertaking roles such as:Advising on and administering pay and allowances, movements, travel and accommodationProcessing performance appraisalsPreparing RAF personnel for deployment to operations and military exercises and supporting them throughout, often deploying with and working alongside themProviding Welfare support to all personnel in the UK and overseasAdministering Service Discipline proceduresManaging career assignments in the UK and overseas, enhancing personnel employment pathwaysAnalytics & Business IntelligenceExecutive SupportBusiness SupportEmployment PolicyAccounting & FinanceOther roles may include Recruitment, Instructing/ Training and many more.Salary: Pay: Starting salary £27,200 including benefits (pay increments yearly, on promotion and Government pay review increases in line with cost of living) + £5,250 Bonus once qualifiedDesirable Qualifications:GCSE or equivalent at Grade C/4 (Scottish National 5 at Grade C) or above in English Language and Mathematics/Application of Mathematics are desirable.During Phase 1 training, Recruits must complete Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths at no cost to the Recruit unless they can prove the qualification is already held.
