Health and Safety Officer12month FTC£35,000- £37,000South East Manchester/ HybridHamilton Woods are currently recruiting for a social housing provider to recruit for a Health and Safety Officer to cover maternity on a 12m FTC. The role will require one day in their offices, with some travel to site.Duties and Responsibilities of the Health ad Safety Officer:Assisting the H&S Manager in leading and embedding a strong and robust health and safety culture across the organisationImplementing H&S Team actions.Assisting with the development of policies and procedures in relation to health and safety.Supporting management in ensuring effective H&S systems are being operated withinContributing to the risk assessment processes, including safe systems of work and COSHH, under the guidance of the H&S Manager.Working with the H&S Manager and the HR team to help identify H&S training requirements.Assisting in the delivery of H&S training where appropriate.Preparing and and reporting on H&S performance.Overseeing the accident and incident management system and ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner.Providing advice and guide investigations for accidents, incidents and near missesEssential Requirements of the Health and Safety Officer:NEBOSH Certificate in Health and SafetyExperience of working within a H&S teamExperience dealing and responding to H&S queriesExperience being involved in risk assessments, accidents, near misses, audit and investigationsFull UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicleTo be considered for this exciting role, please contact Bethan Hall- Director at Hamilton Woods or apply online with a covering note of your experience and suitability referencing the job ID number.
