Summary\n

Motiva Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established general haulage operation based in Northampton.

\n

We are looking for reliable, professional and experienced Class 1 drivers who are comfortable spending nights away from home and are looking for regular, ongoing tramping work.

\n

There are a number of shift patterns available, making this an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for a role that suits their preferred working pattern.

Available Tramper Shift Patterns:\n

\n
• 5/6 Tramper Monday Start
\n
• Monday to Friday Tramper 1 in 3 Saturdays
\n
• Monday to Friday Tramper
\n

\n

We will only consider applications from Drivers with at least 12 months' commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.

Preferred Experience\n

• General Haulage

• Curtainside Trailers
\n
• Ratchet Strapping
\n
• Previous Tramping Experience
\n
• Experience with overnight stays
\n

The Role Involves\n

\n
• Ensuring vehicles comply with all legal requirements and reporting any issues to the relevant transport team
\n
• Ensuring the security and accuracy of deliveries and loads in your charge
\n
• Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
\n
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner at all times
\n
• Complying with health and safety standards
\n
• Adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
\n
• Completing all relevant delivery and vehicle documentation
\n
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects or issues promptly
\n
• Working professionally and maintaining a high standard of customer service
\n

Driver Requirements\n

You must hold:

\n
• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
\n
• A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• A full Driver Qualification Card (DQC/CPC)
\n
• At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
\n

\n

Previous tramping experience is preferred, although drivers with the right attitude and relevant Class 1 experience will be considered.
