Job Description
Role: CMM Operator
\nLocation: Cinderford
\nSalary: £32,000 - £34,000
\nDay Shift
\nAs a CMM Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-manufactured components to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will play a key role in maintaining excellence quality standard for aerospace, automotive and oil & gas customers.
\nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Operate and program CMM equipment (Aberlink) \n
- Maintain CMM Program Library \n
- Perform Inspection & testing \n
- Interpret Engineering Drawings and Blueprints (GD&T experience) \n
- First off and Last off Inspection CMM & handheld measuring equipment \n
- Calibration, drawing & other documentation control. \n
- FAIR creation using QPULSE or any other software the company may use in the future to AS9102B Standards \n
- Gauge R & R \n
- Day to day company quality issue's reporting to the quality manager/representative, in particular the quality of machined products throughout the company \n
- Inspection of parts: - \n
- \n
- Prior to and returning from Outwork Processes \n
- Final Inspection and sign off before delivery to the customer \n
\n - Quality engineering working with QEP personal and customers to highlight resolve issues. \n
- NCR creation, evaluation & resolution \n
- Continuous improvement. \n
- Assisting the Quality Manager with audits both internal and supplier \n
- Help with the introduction of new manufacturing techniques and principles \n
Requirements:
\n- \n
- Previous experience operating CMM equipment within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. \n
- Good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). \n
- Experience using quality inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges. \n
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. \n
