Job Description

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Finance/HR ERP Workstream Lead for our client, a local government organisation based in Staffordshire.

\n

The successful post holder will be an experienced and enthusiastic expert to play a pivotal role in the implementation of the organisation's new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

\n

This is a unique opportunity to shape a joined-up Finance, HR and Payroll system that helps ensure the tools employees use every day truly work for them and end users across the organisation.

\n

THE ERP IS ORACLE FUSION

\n

This role is a temporary contract with an initial contract length of 3 months with the possibility to extend. Hybrid working.

\n

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

    \n
  • Lead the Finance or HR workstream within the ERP programme, ensuring system processes are improved to meet current and future business needs.
  • \n
  • Build strong working relationships with system users and stakeholders, understanding operational requirements and ensuring these are reflected in the system design.
  • \n
  • Develop, maintain and deliver design and configuration strategies that ensure the ERP solution is configured effectively and meets project objectives.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the ERP implementation partner and managed payroll service provider to oversee system design, configuration and integration.
  • \n
  • Lead the development of the ERP solution, ensuring system functionality is optimised and delivered in line with agreed specifications.
  • \n
  • Review and re-engineer Finance or HR business processes to improve efficiency, consistency and service delivery.
  • \n
  • Develop and deliver system guidance, user documentation and training materials for managers and end users.
  • \n
  • Attend ERP Steering Group meetings, providing progress updates, highlighting risks and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • \n
  • Lead, coach and support team members, promoting high performance and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively across the ERP Programme to support successful implementation and continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Undertake additional duties within the ERP Programme appropriate to the level of the role.

Personal Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of Finance and Procurement.
  • \n
  • Degree or equivalent level qualification.
  • \n
  • CIPD, CIPFA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • \n
  • Significant experience working within a complex Finance or HR environment.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of Finance or HR legislation, policies and best practice.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of Finance, HR and Payroll system functionality.
  • \n
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers, implementation partners or service providers.
  • \n
  • Experience leading systems redesign and delivering strategic system improvements.
  • \n
  • Experience of process mapping and business process re-engineering.
  • \n
  • Experience developing and delivering user guidance, training and support materials.
  • \n
  • Experience producing engaging communications to support system adoption and change.
  • \n
  • Strong process mapping and analytical skills.
  • \n
  • High level of IT literacy, including experience using and configuring Finance and HR systems.
  • \n
  • Experience leading, motivating and developing teams to achieve high performance.
  • \n

Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

\n

Pay: £35.89 per hour (Rate Negotiable).

\n

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
