An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Advisor to join a global manufacturing business with a wealth of instantly recognisable brands. This role is pivotal in delivering an outstanding people experience, supporting managers and employees across a busy site.What You'll DoWorking closely with site leadership and the wider People team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused HR advice across a broad range of employee relations and people-related matters. You'll be a trusted partner to managers, helping them navigate complex situations while ensuring consistency, compliance and a positive workplace culture.Key Responsibilities\n

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • \n
  • Support employee relations cases including absence, conduct, capability, grievance and probation matters.
  • \n
  • Assist with investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, including preparing documentation and taking meeting notes.
  • \n
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and probation activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate HR records, case management data and people metrics.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with occupational health, payroll, health & safety and operational teams.
  • \n
  • Contribute to engagement, wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • \n
  • Support positive employee and trade union relationships.
  • \n
Who we are looking forWe're looking for a proactive HR professional who enjoys building relationships, coaching managers and solving problems in a practical way.You will bring:\n
    \n
  • Experience in a HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar operational HR role.
  • \n
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and experience managing HR cases.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • \n
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous.
  • \n
  • CIPD qualification or working towards professional accreditation is desirable.
  • \n
