We are seeking an Assistant Manager for our Children’s Residential Service, catering to children and young people aged 8-17 with social and emotional needs. Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Oversee daily operations in one of our residential homes, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for the children and young people.
  • \n
  • Monitor, review, and audit systems to ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant regulations.
  • \n
  • Supervise and support the team, conducting regular appraisals and acting as a mentor.
  • \n
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as needed.
  • \n
  • Promote the emotional health and wellbeing of the children, acting as a positive role model.
  • \n
  • Engage in continuous personal and professional development through our extensive training programs, including the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training programme.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • \n
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people.
  • \n
  • Qualified to NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a management team.
  • \n
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • \n
