\nDo you have maintenance engineering experience within Heavy industry or Manufacturing?
\nAre you based in or around Wednesfield?
\nWe have a permanent Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer role available within the Tata Steel's Steelpark site. Steelpark is the UK's largest steel distribution and processing centre and also one that is supported by a domestic steel mill.
\nThe successful applicant will hold a UK time served Electrical apprenticeship and hold significant experience within a heavy industry, having conducted reactive and preventative maintenance.
\n\nRole: Electrical Shift Maintenance EngineerLocation: Tata Steel, Steelpark Way, Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV11 3SQ
\nSalary: £39,747 - £47,194 per annum (this includes an 18% shift allowance)Shift Patterns: 3-shift rotating pattern (mornings, afters and nights), Monday - Friday. 37.5 hours per week
\nStart: ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment. This does involve a drug and alcohol test.
\nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Perform necessary breakdown repairs as soon as possible to prevent downtime \n
- Leading preventative maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime \n
- Facilitating engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met \n
- Reporting and recording maintenance and repair details using relevant IT and maintenance management systems \n
- Supporting the development and implementation of processes complying with Tata Steel H&S Management System \n
- Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana) to log work orders and highlight non-conformities \n
- Assisting in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions \n
- Maintaining clear and concise records to track trends and identify improvements \n
Essential requirements:
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical trade or a recognized apprenticeship. \n
- Strong electrical background with a proven track record. \n
- Compliance with current health & safety regulations. \n
- Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering/industrial environment. \n
- Ability to adapt to new equipment. \n
- Flexible and eager to learn and develop. \n
Desirable requirements:

- Driving license and use of a car. \n
- Knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industry. \n
