Category / Procurement Manager / Consultant

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Procurement / Category professional to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant

You will

• Strategic commercial and transformation implementation experience as a lead.
\n
• Proven track record of delivering improved commercial outcomes through robust governance, process assurance and skills transfer.
\n
• Demonstrable experience of delivering procurement, contract and category management improvements and embedding change across public sector organisations
\n
• Specific experience in designing contract management strategies, processes, methodologies and then implementing them across all areas of the council including the permanent procurement team
\n
• Demonstrable experience in category management methodology implementation to identify immediate savings as well as longer term savings through planning, training and strategic sourcing expertise.
\n
• Experienced in designing and delivering training, coaching, mentoring key members of staff to embed long term change
\n
• Experience of classifying contracts into gold silver and bronze and design appropriate contract management tasks for each level of contract.
\n
• Ability to design and implement standardised templates, guidance and role these out across all levels of colleagues
\n
