Logistics ManagerLocation: Blyth, North East EnglandSector: Data Centres / Mission CriticalProject: £10bn Hyperscale Data Centre CampusOur client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and managing all site logistics activities, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of personnel, plant, materials and equipment across a complex, live construction environment.Working closely with project leadership, construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers and local stakeholders, you will develop and implement logistics strategies that support programme delivery, minimise disruption and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all site logistics operations across a major phase of the projectDevelop and implement comprehensive logistics plans to support construction activitiesCoordinate deliveries, storage, material movements and site access to maintain programme efficiencyManage traffic management plans, haul roads, gate operations and vehicle movementsCoordinate tower crane utilisation, lifting activities and logistics interfaces with the construction teamsOversee site welfare, laydown areas, temporary facilities and logistics compoundsManage logistics subcontractors, banksmen, traffic marshals and site logistics personnelWork closely with procurement, commercial and construction teams to ensure timely material availabilityCoordinate with local authorities and external stakeholders where requiredMonitor logistics performance, identify risks and implement improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards across all logistics operationsProduce logistics reports, look-ahead plans and progress updates for project leadershipSupport commissioning activities and the phased handover of completed facilitiesRequirementsProven experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction projectsPrevious experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, major industrial or large-scale infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of construction logistics planning within complex, fast-paced environmentsExperience managing logistics subcontractors, traffic management and site operationsKnowledge of lifting operations, crane coordination and material handling strategiesExcellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesSMSTS and CSCS qualificationsLogistics or Construction Management qualification desirableExperience working within large multidisciplinary project teamsPackageHighly competitive salary + comprehensive packageRotation / Accommodation / Living allowance / Travel allowanceBonus / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assuranceLong-term opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developmentsThis is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant construction programmes and play a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark £10bn, 10-year hyperscale data centre campus .
